Gov. Wike escapes assassination attempt.

GOVERNOR Nyesom Wike allegedly escaped assassination attempt Saturday as soldiers and men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, allegedly on the convoy of the Minister of Transportation, Mr Chibuike Amaechi attacked Wike’s convoy in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

Scene of the attack on the convoy of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike by soldiers and SARS Personnel attached to the Minister of Transportation, Mr Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi on Saturday at Wanja junction on the Trans-Amadi road in Port Harcourt.
A statement by the governor’s media aide, Mr Simeon Nwakaudu, said the ugly incident happened at Nwanja junction, Trans Amadi road when the governor was inspecting ongoing road construction job in the area.
The statement said the governor’s out rider was allegedly hit by the convoy and the Policemen in the Pilot car attacked.
Wike according to the statement was not hurt, he continued with his inspection of the road project after the incident.
Effort to get the Spokesman of 6 Division, Nigerian army in Port Harcourt, Colonel Aminu Ilyasu and the Police comment on the allegation was futile. At press time Colonel Ilyasu had not responded to a text message from our Correspondent to him for comment on the alleged incident.

Russian transgender woman to serve jail term in mens prison.

  Authorities rejected Dmitry Kozhukhov, 25, who just change her name to Alina davis, plea to serve in a women's prison because she is still registered and ‘physically’ a man. They insisted she should serve her two month sentence for driving with a fake licence in a male prison. A police spokesman said: "Kozhukov aka Davis is a man according to his documents and as a result he was sent to a male prison." Dmitry before transgender operation When she asked if it was possible to at least get a single cell in the jail she was also refused, with the prison service saying they did not have any. She is now sharing the jail cell with four male prisoners in the city of Egorievsk in western Russia’s Moscow region. When she was arrested over the drugs charges, police decided not to keep her in custody because they could not work out which type of cell to give her, but now after the second offence they have acted and told her she will go to a male prison.
