Much Ado About Supreme Court Judgement

There has been a lot of noise that has greeted the judgement of the Supreme Court favouring the candidate of the PDP in the last guber election and Governor of Rivers State, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara against the candidate of the APC, Arc. Tonye Cole.

Unfortunately, some of those celebrating seem not to even understand why they're celebrating. A lot of them have made the FCT Minister the subject of their celebrations like the victory at the Supreme Court was a victory against him.

This set of people are either delusional or simply politically naive.

Following the outcome of the 2023 general elections, His Excellency Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, successfully retired RT. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi and sent him into political oblivion.

Why then would anyone think that he would bring him back to political relevance by supporting Amaechi's candidate and business partner Arc. Tonye Cole to become governor via a Supreme Court Judgement?

A good warrior wins a battle before going to fight while others go to fight, hoping to win.

As far as the current political impasse goes, Wike holds all the cards. Ask yourself why he would give away a winning hand to an already defeated opponent?

Congratulations to the governor on his victory. Now it's time to face the battle that he has plunged himself into and find a way to disentangle himself from the webs of political and legal conundra that he weaved for himself.
