6 years after, Jonathan mourns Yar'adua.

Former president Dr. Goodluck Jonathan paid glowing tribute to former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua to mark the sixth anniversary of his death.

Jonathan was the Vice-President during Yar’Adua tenure, until his death on May 5, 2010.
Jonathan on his Facebook page, extolled the virtues of his former boss saying;

 “Six years ago I lost a dear friend and partner in democracy, peace and progress. President Umaru Musa Yar'adua was a servant leader and a stickler for the rule of law. He may be gone but he is never to be forgotten. I pray for his soul and for him to rest in al Jannah firdaus.”

Yar’Adua, before becoming President in May 2007, served as the Governor of Katsina State from 29 May 1999 to 28 May 2007.
The Late President left for Saudi Arabia in 2009 to receive treatment for pericarditis.

Several controversies and rumours surrounded the state of Yar’Adua’s health, during his tenure.

The Nigerian Senate, on 9 February 2010, adopted "doctrine of necessity" to transfer Presidential powers to Goodluck Jonathan, and declared him the acting President, with all the accompanying powers, until Yar'Adua returned to full health.

Umaru Musa Yar’Adua  was widely celebrated for reaching an amnesty deal with the Niger-Delta militants.

Russian transgender woman to serve jail term in mens prison.

  Authorities rejected Dmitry Kozhukhov, 25, who just change her name to Alina davis, plea to serve in a women's prison because she is still registered and ‘physically’ a man. They insisted she should serve her two month sentence for driving with a fake licence in a male prison. A police spokesman said: "Kozhukov aka Davis is a man according to his documents and as a result he was sent to a male prison." Dmitry before transgender operation When she asked if it was possible to at least get a single cell in the jail she was also refused, with the prison service saying they did not have any. She is now sharing the jail cell with four male prisoners in the city of Egorievsk in western Russia’s Moscow region. When she was arrested over the drugs charges, police decided not to keep her in custody because they could not work out which type of cell to give her, but now after the second offence they have acted and told her she will go to a male prison.
