Niger Delta Avengers activists have trashed a purported letter written by Tompolo to Buhari and the news making the rounds among Nigeria media outlets claiming that the group has been unmasked and their sponsors exposed.

 

In a statement made available to Family Writers, the Avengers stated their dismay at the letter allegedly written by Tompolo to Buhari as well as the level of false informations being unleashed on the members of the public about the group by some sections of Nigeria media, about its foundation and its ideologies.

"We are currently investigating the letter purportedly written by Tompolo to ascertain its veracity. We have already warned Tompolo to steer clear of our struggle, but it seems he is dragging himself in with bunch of falsehood, in order to gain favour."

"We're also warning the section of Nigeria media who are bent on distorting facts and misleading the public concerning our activities. Nobody knows who we are, not even Tompolo. Nigerian government should know that once our ultimatum has expired and our demands not met, we will bomb all the pipelines because we gain nothing out of It."
