Gov. Wike explains why they ditched Sherriff.

Governor Nyesom Wike revealed that the embattled Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff, had to be removed because his continued stay was destabilising the party.

Wike, who was also the chairman of the 2016 PDP National Convention Planning Committee, said he will not be alive and watch the party die.
He said “This is destabilising the party and so we had to let him go. What is important is the party and not the individual. No sacrifice is too much for anyone to make as far as PDP is concerned.”“We will not allow the PDP to die or suffer divisions under our watch. History will never forgive us if we watch the party die.”
Also speaking on the development at the convention, a member of the House of Reps, Johnson Agbonayinma, said the dissolution of the National Working Committee, will help reposition the party.
He also accused Sheriff of trying to perpetuate himself and make himself bigger than the party.
He also said “Alli Modu Sheriff is not the bone of contention; we have put everything to rest.“Now PDP is set like never before to pilot its affairs and ensure that dividends of democracy are provided to the people.”
Meanwhile, reports say Sheriff announced the suspension of its National Convention, citing numerous court cases as the reason the decision.

Russian transgender woman to serve jail term in mens prison.

  Authorities rejected Dmitry Kozhukhov, 25, who just change her name to Alina davis, plea to serve in a women's prison because she is still registered and ‘physically’ a man. They insisted she should serve her two month sentence for driving with a fake licence in a male prison. A police spokesman said: "Kozhukov aka Davis is a man according to his documents and as a result he was sent to a male prison." She is now sharing the jail cell with four male prisoners in the city of Egorievsk in western Russia’s Moscow region. When she was arrested over the drugs charges, police decided not to keep her in custody because they could not work out which type of cell to give her, but now after the second offence they have acted and told her she will go to a male prison.
