The Hon. Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Hon. Barr Sylvanus Nwankwo (JP) appeared before the House Committee of Chieftaincy and Community Affairs to defend the ministry's 2018 budget proposal at the Rivers State House of Assembly. The committee has Hon Granville Tekenari Wellington as Chairman, The house minority leader, Hon. Benibo Anabraba Esq as member, Glory Adanma Woke is the Committee Clerk, While Tom West Esq is the Committee Attorney. While speaking to news men after the defence, Hon. Sylvanus hailed the committee for doing a thorough job. "It has been a tedious process, but in the end the committee has seen that we have done a job at the defence." He went ahead to express satisfaction that the appropriated budget amount enough to ensure smooth running of the Ministry and promise judicious deployment of the funds.
