I left home that morning 30 minutes earlier than usual. My plan was to walk some distance before boarding a vehicle to my work place. That was to be part of my morning exercise, but more importantly I would be able to save N50 on transportation. And as usual I had my earpiece on, playing music from my phone.

A Lagos State High Court in Igbosere has sentenced to death Okwumo Nwabufo and Olisaeloka Ezike for the murder of a postgraduate student of Nasarawa State University, Cynthia Osokogu. It would be recalled that the deceased was murdered by the convicts on July 22, 2012 at Cosmilla Hotel, Lake View Estate, Festac Town, Lagos. Our Correspondent reports that the presiding judge, Justice Olabisi Akinlade  found Nwabufo and Ezike guilty as charged by the state. Justice Akinlade held that the circumstantial evidence brought by the state in proof of the six counts of conspiracy, murder and stealing against the accused persons were cogent, complete, unequivocal and compelling.
